With 20 years of creative design prowess, Melissa Woody knows how to make an interior come alive with personality and color regardless of budget. Whether it’s for residential clients, city libraries, doctors’ offices, landscaping, or builder finish outs, design is at the heart of every decision. In the past, Woody has created very opulent tablescapes for this event, however this year she wanted to show that a room can look ultra-chic without an expensive price tag to match. “The mixed chairs work because I upholstered them in matching beige linen which blends nicely in any setting. I find design thrilling and fun because you can use what you already have to achieve a fresh, new look,” says Woody. Creating vignettes like this are part of what keeps Woody’s signature shops in the Design District, Lovers Lane, and Knox-Henderson in step with the latest decor trends and a favorite destination of her loyal clientele.
