The Dividends are S1, producer, and Sarah Jaffe, vocals, longtime collaborators releasing their first official EP — Far From Away (Vol. 1) — with a show tonight at Trees, which will also feature DJ Sober and the great Sam Lao. (Special things seem to happen when these people are on stage at Trees together.)
The Dividends have been a sure thing in the past, on tracks that wound up on Eminem albums and that landed Raekwon guest spots, and the new songs we’ve heard all sound fantastic.
