It’s officially time to peek into the lovely homes of stranger’s. Yep, home tour season is here. And, whether you’re partial to a traditional abode or you dig something more sleek and modern, there’s a tour for you this weekend.
An architect meet-and-greet at Design Within Reach on Friday, April 19 kicks off the two-day, all-modern White Rock Home Tour. Stop by the McKinney Avenue modern furniture mecca from 6:30–8:30 p.m. to mingle with modern architects and minimalist loving peeps, take part in a trivia contest (with an Aeron® Chair at stake), and enjoy drinks and appetizers.
Then head to the actual tour on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21 from noon to 5:00 p.m. to ogle the five homes on display. Tickets are $15 through April 21 at White Rock Coffee, Green Spot, Select Tom Thumb stores, or Hypnotic Donuts or $20 at the door of any tour home during event hours. Proceeds benefit Blue Ribbon School Hexter Elementary.
More of a Billy Baldwin fan? You’re in luck, as the 12th annual Turtle Creek Home Tour featuring high-rise living is happening from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. Meet some of your design-loving pals for brunch in Uptown then jump on a shuttle bus for the tour of five swank homes…(Who hasn’t been dying to see a home inside the Azure and the Ritz?)
The tour benefits the Turtle Creek Association (TCA), and tickets are $60.00 for non-TCA members and $50.00 for TCA members.
