Healthcare companies information-technology (IT) contracts declined by more than one-third in 2012, according to a report by Ovum, a technology research and consulting firm.
The value and volume of contracts were the lowest since 2002. The report attributed the decline to economic uncertainty, especially in Europe. The report also noted a significant decline in contracts above $1 billion.
