The internet has already decided that if last night’s epic legislative session were a Hollywood movie, Connie Britton would play Wendy Davis. Of course, that legislative session was so incredibly compelling, with so many interesting twists and story lines (not to mention a colorful supporting cast that would make the Coen brothers proud)–and so many people watching, rapt–that some executive would have been commissioning a screenplay for the sequel before it even ended.
Well…one executive named Rick Perry is considering just that. He has the power to call a special session, which would mean Davis might have to filibuster for days, maybe weeks. This particular executive has a phone number though, with staff standing by waiting to hear whether you would want to see that sequel.
The phone number is: 512-463-2000. You can call multiple times.
