SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION, PART II

|

Do you ever watch that Antique Roadshow on PBS? The one where Grandma’s rose vase turns out to be some, like, really important artifact worth a gajillion dollars? Well, tomorrow, I am told, there is something very similar in our midst. Here’s the official announcement:

On Saturday, June 4th, from 10 am to 4 pm, D Home, sister publication to D Magazine, and Dallas Auction Gallery are joining together to hold the first Antique Appraisal Day benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Texas. The event will be held at Dallas Auction Gallery located on 1518 Slocum Street. Bring the precious treasures you inherited from your family or found at a garage sale and see if they have real value. Thirty certified appraisers in different areas of specialty will volunteer their time to give verbal evaluations. Ticket prices: up to 2 items evaluated for $25, or a third for an additional $15. Campisi’s pizza and refreshments available.

Check it out.
