Big Tex…and corny dogs, peppermint taffy, “the crazy mouse”, the petting zoo, the parade that winds through the fair ground at dusk, swan boats, and well… pretty much everything else about The Great State Fair of Texas. Our annual pilgrimage is, by far, one of my family’s favorite fall traditions.
Free (!) outdoor concerts and picnics. We spotted this sweet family when we went to the to see the Orbans at the PAC’s Patio Sessions a few weeks ago. It was a wholly magical night.
