Adam Graham
Adam Graham

• Adam Graham has been promoted to principal at Lee & Associates. He joined the company in 2006 to focus on industrial brokerage and represents both users and institutional landlord clients. Since then, Graham has been recognized as one of the firm’s top producers.

Scott Alexander
Scott Alexander

Lee & Associates also hired Scott Alexander as an industrial broker associate. He joins the firm from the U.S. Navy, where he was a Sea Air and Land (SEAL) operator, completing multiple deployments as part of the global war on terror and spending several years as an instructor on the East Coast. Alexander has a business degree from the University of Maryland.

Justin Laub
Justin Laub

Metropolitan Capital Advisors has added Justin Laub to its team. He joins as director from Churchill Capital, and will focus on client development and originating debt and equity transactions. Laub brings both domestic and international real estate experience to his new role at MCA, having spent four years in Moscow as a consultant, and several years in New York City with Aviva Investors and Ackman-Ziff. He has a B.A. from Occidental College and an M.S. in real estate finance from New York University.

• JBGL Builder Finance LLC, which provides construction financing to affiliated builders, has promoted two executives to co-chief operating officers. Jason Corley will be responsible for oversight of all construction lending, working with builders on accounting and operating systems, and planning for future growth. He joined JBGL two years ago. Prior to that, he worked as an auditor for Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young and as a financial and land acquisition analyst for K. Hovnanian Homes. He has a B.S. in accounting and an MBA from Louisiana Tech University.

Also promoted to co-chief operating officer is Jed Dolson, who joined JBGL in 2010 from Jones & Boyd Engineering. Dolson has been in charge of land acquisition and lot development for residential communities in Allen, Carrollton, Flower Mound, and McKinney, as well as in developments in Colorado and North Carolina. He actively manages all builder and municipal relationships and is involved in JBGL’s new product design operations. Dolson graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in civil engineering and earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Stanford University.

Kenneth L. Betts has joined the Dallas office of Patton Boggs, as part of a move to expand the firm’s REIT and corporate finance capabilities. Betts comes to Patton Boggs from the corporate and securities practice of Locke Lord. In his new role, he will represent REITs and other issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of debt and equity securities. His experience includes structuring listed and non-traded public offerings, acquisitions, and REIT mergers, and structuring joint ventures and general business arrangements.

Patton Boggs has also added Laurie G. Lang as partner. Lang brings a wide range of experience and a focused skill set to the firm, including experience with senior and subordinated financings, secured and unsecured loan transactions, M&A financing, and workouts and restructuring in a variety of industries, including real estate, energy, technology, communications, media, and healthcare.

The International Economic Development Council has elected Bill Sproull as its new chairman. Sproull is well-known in eco-devo circles, as president and CEO of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, Metroplex Technology Business Council, and the Richardson Economic Development Partnership. He was elected during IEDC’s 2013 Annual Conference earlier this month and step into the chairman’s role in January. Sproull currently serves on the boards of directors of the IEDC, the University of Texas at Dallas, the North Texas Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization, the North Texas Commission, and the Technology Councils of North America. He graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in economics and political science.
