Terry Darrow: The Biggest DFW Industrial Deals of 2011

My gift to you this holiday season is the gift of song—thankfully, not performed live. It pays tribute to the impressive industrial transactions in the North Texas market this year. I call it, "Jones Lang LaSalle’s 12 Days of Dallas Deals.”

With the holidays just around the corner, businesses across North Texas will close their doors and encourage employees to spend time with families and friends. In this time of joy, people celebrate and give thanks for their loved ones and reflect on milestones of the past year.

For some, this may mean securing new employment; for others, perhaps it was a wedding or welcoming a new member into the family. For my Jones Lang LaSalle family and me, it’s the opportunities we’ve had in 2011 to work with a group of Dallas’ stand-out clients and colleagues.

My gift to you is the gift of song—thankfully, not performed live. It pays tribute to the impressive industrial transactions in the North Texas market this year. I call it, “Jones Lang LaSalle’s 12 Days of Dallas Industrial Deals.”

• On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me … a partridge in a pear tree.

• On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me … two crescent wrenches (Home Depot’s 1.2 million-square-foot project in South Dallas).

• On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me … three boxes of Corn Flakes (Kellogg’s 1 million-square-foot lease in Lewisville).

• On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me … four trains (GE Locomotive’s 956,000-square-foot deal in North Fort Worth).

• On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me … five bargain ties (Kohl’s 950,000-square-foot e-commerce center in DeSoto).

• On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me … gift boxes (Uline’s 600,000-square-foot deal in Coppell).

• On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me … seven 18-wheelers (Navistar’s 472,000-square-foot lease in Garland).

• On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me … eight bales of cotton (Noble Cotton’s 400,000-square-foot lease in Grand Prairie).

• On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me … nine remade engines (Cardone Industries’ 407,910-square-foot lease in Grand Prairie).

• On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me … 10 cans of dog food (Mars Pet Food’s 393,899-square-foot lease in Lancaster).

• On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me … eleven lighting fixtures (Craftmade International’s sale-leaseback in Coppell).

• On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me … 12 exciting play things (KidKraft’s 334,000-square-foot lease in DFW Trade Center II in Irving).

I want to thank all of my colleagues—in Dallas and across the country—for such a successful year. Enjoy the holidays!
