Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 474 new cases on Sunday, with three deaths. There were also 164 cases from previous months. There were 601 new cases in Tarrant County, the most in several months.


President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and Senior Counselor Hope Hicks tested positive for COVID-19 early Friday morning. Hicks became a close advisor to the president after graduating from SMU in 2010, The Dallas Morning News reported.


Over 15,800 Texans have died due to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. While COVID-19 hospitalizations remain low, three-thousand Texans are currently hospitalized, The Texas Tribune reported.


Amidst questions over the accuracy of COVID-19 data in public schools, the state of Texas retracted the release of case reports on Friday. State case totals did not correlate with numbers reported by various school districts, The Texas Standard reported.
