Update, 1:12 p.m.: Irving police report that two bodies were found on campus—one a victim, the other the shooter. “There appears to be no continuing threat,” the department says.

Original: Irving’s North Lake College was locked down this afternoon after reports of shots fired. It’s not clear whether anyone’s been injured, but NBC 5 put up a video of students running out of the community college.

The school sent a text message about the lockdown around 11:45 a.m., and Irving PD told news agencies that shots had been fired. There’s other video on Twitter of a police officer in a room with a dozen or so students, telling them to “take it easy.” The department had advised students to barricade themselves in classrooms and told others to avoid the area.

Irving PD looks like it’s surrounded the campus. Stay safe folks.
