SMU Wins AAC Tourney, Given No. 6 Seed In East Region. The Ponies are one of the hottest teams going (with 16 Ws in a row) and finished with the best record in school history, winning 30 games for the first time. And they could have brought home a win if Cristian Colmán’s first half strike hadn’t banged against the post. One of the new faces in the lineup was 17-year-old Paxton Pomykal, who became the youngest player ever to start for the squad and the first I’ve had to look up every time I’ve ever typed it.
