tinyDallas gift picks…

|

We’re in the thick of it friends: decking the halls, sipping the (spiked) eggnog, reveling in the twinkly lights and partaking in copious amounts of holiday goodies. Really what could be better?

(Besides of course being completely done with all of our gift shopping…a long shot to say the least.)

We are making a little progress though and thought it might be fun to share a few things we’re planning to buy for our own littles this year (and what we’re hoping to find under the tree for ourselves…we couldn’t resist).

Sunny’s Picks:

For the kiddos: Bento boxes from We Are 1976, Todd Oldham’s Kid Made Modern (a tinyDallas favorite), and (for my little cousins) DIY “sewing kits” that consist of a stack of fat quarters and simple patterns like a pendant or a coin purse.

For me: I’m dreaming of a stack of new coffee table books to pour over next to a warm fire this winter…Gypset Style, The Selby Is In Your Place and Cy Twombly: Fifty Years of Works on Paper are all on my list.

Lucia’s Picks:

For the kiddos: For my nerdy nature-loving, birdwatching girls (and for Pete too, let’s be honest, except for the dress) I have my eye on a set of American bird calls and this sweet owl dress.  And for Ollie, a “plush soldier bowling set” (because he loves to knock stuff down with balls).

For me: I’d love Rogan Quasar’s artful printed silk dress

Joslyn’s Picks:

For the kiddos: A little upcycled leather pouch so Millie can wear her “treasures” around with her (that kid is a total magpie), a flipbook kit featuring Degas’ dancers and The Mona Lisa smiling (available locally at Peek Aren’t You Curious in Northpark) and a lightweight fuzzy vest to entice Audrey to actually wear a jacket…

For me: I’m dreaming of a Lulu Frost ‘4’ ring to celebrate each member of our little family.

Christine’s Picks

For the kiddos: I’m stocking them up on imaginary play items this year like this Indian play camp, a super sweet fabric tea set and a mosaic block puzzle.

For me: I’m dreaming of a city bike by C. Wonder!
