You know what sounds good today? Tomato soup. It’s chilly. It’s wintery. And I need something to warm my 40-year-old cockles. I know my favorite cup: Hattie’s tomato soup which comes with a tiny grilled cheese sandwich perfectly perched on the side of the cup. Mmmm… mmmm… good. Others swear by old stalwart La Madeleine. (Nice but a bit coarse for my taste.) I know Lonesome Dove used to have a robust charred tomato soup. Any other suggestions? Sound off in the comments.
