SRP Medical, Diamond Healthcare Form Partnership

|

Dallas-based SRP Medical has partnered with Richmond, Va.-based Diamond Healthcare Corp. to improve the mental health field in North Texas.

SRP, a real estate investment and development business, specializes in the development of healthcare properties in Texas and the South. Since 2009, SRP has developed more than $300 million worth of specialty hospitals and senior care facilities for patients.

Diamond, a population health company focused on developing contemporary services that enhance the mental and physical well-being of communities, has offered management and consulting expertise to hospitals, healthcare systems, and real estate investment firms nationwide for 32 years.

SRP signed an agreement with Diamond “to provide management services to behavioral health hospitals” in Plano and Fort Worth, two locations that have been in operation since 2014. Now, Diamond will take over management of both facilities. The contract adds almost 200 employees to Diamond’s team. With this partnership, the hospitals adopted a new name—WellBridge Healthcare—as of Feb. 1.

Scott H. Wilson, managing principal of SRP Medical, says the partnership is mutually beneficial. “The goal we share with Diamond is to become the leading provider of mental health and well-being services in North Texas, and to bring a superior level of mental health expertise to our patients and communities,” Wilson said in a statement.

Diamond President and CEO Richard Feldman believes the SPR and Diamond partnership will provide a new opportunity for innovation in mental healthcare. “This partnership already has developed a strong foundation in Texas, and we look forward to new opportunities nationally that lie ahead,” Feldman said.
