Linda Allison, a clinical education specialist at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, was honored among the region’s Great 100 Nurses for 2012.

 

David Campbell, manager of education for Methodist Richardson, is a South Region finalist in the 2012 Nurse.com Nursing Excellence Awards, in the category of “Education and Mentorship.” He will be honored at an Aug. 17 event at the Houston Omni Galleria.

 

Karen Langston, perinatal outreach coordinator at Texas Health Harris Methodist, has earned the Fetal Heart Monitoring Program Award from The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

 

John Marchand, a charge nurse in the surgical step-down unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, was honored among the region’s Great 100 Nurses.

 

Elizabeth “Libby” Charmaine Morse, a nurse educator in surgical services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, has been named the hospital’s Nurse of the Year.  Morse, who has been with Texas Health Dallas for nearly 30 years, also was honored among the region’s Great 100 Nurses for 2012.

 

Shari Nathanson, a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was honored among the region’s Great 100 Nurses for 2012.

 

J.R. Thomas, CEO of MedSynergies Inc. was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year for 2012 in the “Health Services” category of the Southwest Area North program.

 

Karen Yates, cardiac and stroke coordinator for Methodist Mansfield, is a South Region finalist in the 2012 Nurse.com Nursing Excellence Awards, in the category of “Inpatient Care.” She will be honored at an Aug. 17 event at the Houston Omni Galleria.

Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie was named one of Thomson Reuters’ 100 Top Hospitals award winners for 2012 in the “Small Community Hospital” category.

 

Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas was named one of Thomson Reuters’ 100 Top Hospitals award winners for 2012 in the “Major Teaching Hospital” category.

 

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has been recognized by Premier Healthcare Alliance for “Supply Chain Excellence” for a community hospital with more than 158 beds.

 

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle has received the Quest Award for High-value Healthcare from Premier Healthcare Alliance, the only hospital in the nation to do so. The hospital achieved top performance thresholds during the first three quarters of 2011 in all six Quest measurements: mortality, cost of care, evidence-based care, harm, patient experience, and readmissions.

 

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano has earned certification by The Joint Commission for its hip and knee joint replacement program.

 

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano has earned a Silver Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award, presented by TMF Health Quality Institute. The award recognizes gains in key clinical areas designated as national healthcare priorities.
