Russian cosmonauts are apparently planning to take the Olympic torch up into space. Sounds like a completely fine plan.
Meanwhile, The Cosmonauts, the punky, poppy band from Orange County, is playing a nice, sedate, Monday night set at Dada. That’s a lie, it won’t be anything resembling sedate. They’re fresh from Austin’s Psych Fest, which is not insignificant. In honor of my soon-t0-be-wed friend Eric and his brief but memorable stint in Dallas, I’d do Pepe’s & Mitos for dinner, and Black Swan for whatever drinks please you.
Also this evening, Central Market is offering an “Introduction to Brazilian Wines” workshop, which basically translates to you sampling six different wines for a measly $10. But the wine experts will also do a quick lesson on the various winery techniques and how to taste wines properly. It’s part of the grocery’s Passaporte Brasil festival that’ll last until May 7.
