I used to be a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier, an international culinary organization for women only. The Dallas Chapter was founded in 1984 and is one of 28 chapters internationally. LDEI supports and encourages education in the culinary arts, hotel/restaurant management, nutrition, food journalism, and other food and beverage specific studies and provides scholarships to women seeking an education in these areas.
Each year they throw a fundraiser. It used to be called the Raiser Grazer. This year they’ve renamed it A Dame Good Party. The new moniker certainly reflects the true spirit of the evening.
This year the event is from 6PM to 9PM on March 5 at 6500. You’ll find all of the Dallas area top female chefs, restaurants, and artisanal suppliers passing out delicious food and pastry. Plus they are honoring America’s top women owned and managed wineries. So lots of food and wine.
