OncoNano's new CEO, Tenet forms platform to deliver personalized medicine, Texas Health offers opportunities to students, and more.

Dallas-based cancer treatment company OncoNano appointed Martin Driscoll to be chief executive officer and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Driscoll was most recently the president and chief executive officer of Spring Bank Pharmaceuticals and has years of biopharmaceutical development and commercialization experience.


Farmer’s Branch-based Tenet Health joined several other large health systems to help form Truveta, a new platform that will use de-identified patient data to make conclusions and develop insights to improve outcomes. The platform will include tens of millions of patients across thousands of facilities in 40 states.


Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins appointed Marjorie Petty to the Parkland Health & Hospital System Board of Managers. Each member of the commissioners court appoints two people to serve three year terms. Petty previously served as the federal Region VI Director of the Department of Health and Human Services in President Barack Obama’s administration.


Texas Health Dallas has teamed up with Richardson ISD, Project SEARCH, and Quest Employment Services to allow high school students to intern in more than 25 departments and a wide range of locations. The program launched in 2017 and has employed more than 40 students with disabilities. During that time, 14 students have been offered accepted employment at the hospital following their internship.
