CADD Bus Tour

If you’re in need of a day to yourselves as a couple, or feel like flying solo, be sure to snag a space on the Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas Bus Tour — you’ll have a guided tour through three galleries, visit artist Linnea Glatt’s stunning studio, nosh on something delicious for lunch, all while being schlepped to and fro in a luxury bus. Such a cool way to see good art intimately, meet new people, and maybe start an art-collecting habit.

9.17 / CADD bus tour — Meet at 11am at Barry Whistler Gallery, 2909-B Canton Street

Estate sales and garage sales

We brake for estate sale signs. Yes, yes… we have a propensity for scavenging, and something about this briefly cooler weather makes us want to feather the nest (with other people’s cast-offs). Lake Highlands and Lakewood are always a good place to start when searching for by-gone era treasures. This one looks promising.

Tut tut… Looks like rain (maybe)

Of course, we’d abandon all plans for a bit if the sky finally broke open with a serious thunderstorm. Fingers crossed, we’ll be busting out those rain boots this weekend, but leaving the umbrellas inside — if it’s going to pour, we’re going all-in for a soaking. (Seriously, weather — quit messing around and rain already.)
