Unfortunately for Charlie, Adam Mitchell from Chattanooga was just a little bit better today. Holland, an HP grad who plays at Lakewood Country Club when he’s home from UT, lost in the quarterfinals of the US Amateur today 2 & 1 at Pinehurst No. 2. Charlie’s dad Malcolm is was Director of Texas Golf Association. A couple of golf friends of mine watched last year when Charlie won the Texas Amateur. His dad Malcolm presented him the trophy. Nice.
