WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THE ACS SHAKEUP

|

I’ve been getting calls and e-mails from analysts who follow ACS. They want to know what I know about Jeff Rich stepping down as CEO. They figure I might know something because I wrote an interesting story about ACS chairman Darwin Deason in 2003. It was titled “Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless.” Well, message to all ACS analysts: I know bupkis.

The company is certainly keeping better track of how its executives fly the friendly skies. They filed their proxy Monday and were careful to note that the company paid for $132,000 in non-business use of corporate aircraft by Darwin Deason and $139,000 in non-business use of corporate aircraft by Jeff Rich. But you analysts already knew that.

The only other tidbit I can pass along is that I was told of an incident involving Darwin’s new 203-foot yacht, Apogee, last summer. If there are any Francophile FrontBurnervians out there with connections in the Cannes police department, let me hear from ya.
