This week’s ShopTalk Crush contenders waged a fierce battle, but only one emerged the victor: James Franco. Franco’s lovable stoner Daniel Desario was one of the many things I liked about Freaks and Geeks, and his lovable stoner Saul Silver was the only thing I liked about Pineapple Express. But there’s more to JF than an uncanny ability to play lovable stoners. He also happens to have remarkable bone structure, as evidenced by his photo shoot for the current issue (and cover) of BlackBook magazine. In the story, he talks about his education (he’s working on two master’s degrees), his style (he’s a fan of American Apparel underwear), and his new role alongside Sean Penn in the biopic Milk. After reading the piece, I felt bad for loving Franco only for his pretty face. But then I watched this video interview he did with The New York Times Style Magazine, and I remembered just how pretty that face is. Just one thing: the lip licking. Irritating? Or kinda hot? I can’t decide. (Photo credit: BlackBook)
