If you’re curious about the $121 billion that Medicare Part D doled out for pharmaceuticals in 2014, the federal agency this month released data from about 70 percent of all beneficiaries to see which drugs cost the program the most.
It pertains to around 38 million enrollees from data through the Medicare Advantage Prescription drug plans as well as its standalone plans. It’s the second year that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have released the information, which will “now be possible to conduct analyses of trends.”
