Rape Trial for Former Stars Center Continues. Three women have accused former Dallas Stars center Mike Ribeiro of sexual assault after incidents in June 2021 at Lake Cypress Springs. He faces two charges of sexual assault and one charge of attempted sexual assault. Ribeiro played six seasons in Dallas.

Oops. This week, the Fort Worth ISD School Health Advisory Council’s meeting took an unexpected turn when a few participants displayed pornographic content on their screens during the Zoom call. The council, comprised of volunteers that help the district select health education curriculum, was discussing potential sex education materials. The district says it is investigating the incident.

North Texan To Attend State of the Union. Kate Cox will attend President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address in March. Cox, whose unborn third child was diagnosed with a fatal genetic condition, was denied an emergency abortion by the state Supreme Court last month. She eventually traveled to New Mexico for the procedure. Biden and First Lady Jill Biden called Cox to talk about her experience Sunday, which led to the invitation.
