Each year, the Dallas Builders Association honors the city’s best building and remodeling talent in nearly 50 categories. The celebration, held at The Westin Galleria, is the building professional’s answer to the Oscars. And while there may be no red carpet, paparazzi, or gyrating backup dancers, the event is packed with plenty of dazzle in the form of marble, quartz, techie appointments, and other over-the-top amenities—if you’re into that sort of thing (and we most definitely are!).
Tim Lansford of Luxury Homes of Texas helmed the mic as the master of ceremonies. And for the second year in a row, Classic Urban Homes snagged the Custom Builder of the Year title. Former Cowboys linebacker Bradie James and his wife Star slipped in as the ballroom doors were closing to dine with the award-winning builder of his home—a.k.a. Maison d’Etoile—Tim Jackson of Tim Jackson Custom Homes.
