(Amy’s Favorites: 1. Nars lip lacquer 2. Abi Ferrin “Nikki” dress  3. Hello Kitty Band Aids 4. Breadwinners 5. The New York Times Sunday Styles)

Who she is: Amy Leber jewelry designer and mom of Eden (6) and Bell (4)

Why we love her: The hometown girl recently parlayed her design background (she previously focused on interiors) into Traeh, a line of delicate wear-everywhere jewelry. Bonus: Amy designs and handcrafts every single bangle, bauble adorned necklace, and ring herself.

Herewith a peek into Amy’s world.

On heavy rotation: My iPod contains f everything from Coldplay to FloRida to Paperboys’ Ditty (and even some Bocelli- for those times I need to just chill).

What she’s reading: About the only thing I have time to read is a recipe book and Edens homework! Although I do try to stay abreast of the latest trends in The New York Times Style section each week.

Always in her handbag: NARS lip lacquer in Chelsea Girls, Burberry Brit sheer perfume, aloe hand sanitizer, wet wipes, Hello Kitty Band Aids (for spontaneous slips), a few loose peppermint candies, and two pair of Traeh earrings — you never know when I might sell the ones out of my ears…

Her uniform: My go-to daytime outfit is my workout clothes. I pretty much live in those from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. For evening, I love to throw on my Abi Ferrin five way ‘Nikki’ dress. It’s so versatile, easy to dress up or down.

Her go-to restaurants: Patrizio in Highland Park Village still reminds me of my teenage years. On a pretty day we love to have brunch on the patio at Fernando’s, and the new Breadwinners in NorthPark Center is a go-to, as the kids can run wild while we enjoy a peaceful glass of vino. If we are lucky enough to escape for date night, we head to Nick and Sams.

Favorite family outing in Dallas: We love the new Bowl & Barrel in the Shops at Park Lane, but our best family time tougher is our annual vacation to Kona Hawaii.

Her tip for balancing work and family: I try to enjoy every minute of my kids childhood, and I don’t sweat the small stuff… time will fly by before we know it. And I always remember that family and friends are the most important thing in this world, so I enjoy them whenever possible. Work is definitely important, and I am passionate about my business, but I always remember to put my kids and my family first. Fortunately for me, jewelry is not a life or death business, it only helps accentuate ones fabulousness!
