Mrs. Theodore H. Strauss, wife of the chairman of the board of United National Bank, with her daughters, Nancy and Janie Strauss. Annette Strauss has served as president of many civic and cultural organizations including the National Women’s Association of Symphony Orchestras. Currently, she is chairman of the Dallas County Heart Association Campaign, president of TACA, vice-president of the DISD Foundation for Quality Education, Chairman of the Development Board of UT at Dallas, member of the Dallas Park and Recreation Board and the executive committee of the Central Business District Association.

She has received the Zonta, Arete, and Linz awards, the Human Relations award of the American Jewish Committee and the Brotherhood award of the Conference of Christians and Jews. Mrs. Strauss is a board member of Richardson Savings and Loan Association and has recently joined the firm of Glenn, Bozell & Jacobs. Like their mother, both daughters are Phi Beta Kappa graduates of the Univ. of Texas at Austin, where they captured every coveted campus award. Nancy is an assistant couture buyer for Neiman-Marcus, member of the Junior League, Crystal Charity Ball Committee, Cattle Baron’s Ball Committee, and on the board of directors of Union Bank & Trust. Janie, currently completing her Jurisprudence Degree in Law, will soon join the firm of Jackson, Walker, Winstead, Cantwell & Miller.
