Poor Physical Health By County

The poor physical health days measure is based on the response to the question: “Thinking about your physical health, which includes physical illness and injury, for how many days during the past 30 days was your physical health not good?” The measure is age-adjusted to the 2000 U.S. population.

It is an important measure of how healthy people are. How people report the number of days when their physical health was not good is a reliable estimate of their recent health.

According to County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, all four DFW counties are below the state average of 3.6 poor physical days. Dallas comes in at 3.3; Tarrant is 3.1; Denton is 2.9; and Collin is 2.7.
