For the past two days, my son Burke has been forced to come to work with me because his normal gig has taken the week off. Burke will be a fourth-grader next year at the greatness that is Hexter Elementary. Students there are required to keep a journal over the summer. Here is Burke’s entry (unedited) from yesterday:
To day my camp is closed. So I went to the famuse D Magazine with my dad because he works there. At D Magazine they make magazines. And my dad seams that he is the comandore of his floor because he is always going around his work helping people when they get stuck. I think my dad does a good job of it to. But the person who owns the whole work and the boss of every body is Wick. Wick is a very funny, smart, guy. I think he is good at his job. And that was what it was like when I was at my dads work.
