Tip is in four hours. I’m pretty geeked up for it and will likely bore the six or seven people who read it with my live blog of the game. Eric would like to participate, but he has to go watch his daughter recite poetry or somesuch tonight and will miss the first quarter. You’re an inspiration to fathers everywhere, man. I mean it.
Meanwhile, here’s why I’m happy whether the Mavs win or lose: because I have a friend I’ll call Ricky. Ricky is the biggest Mavs fan I know. So big that when he told me last night the Mavs would win the series, and when I asked if he wanted to bet on that, Ricky took a $100 bet from me and didn’t even ask for odds. I asked him to explain, for everyone in the FB Nation, why the Mavs will win tonight. His response:
I’m just a boring corporate attorney with no jokes. That being said, we win tonight because we’re better than they are. JT and Dirk have got to start making shots sooner or later, we’re not going to turn the ball over nearly as much, and I think we’ll be much better defensively. On top of that, Baron Davis starts to wear down tonight. Need good energy from the crowd, though.
