A Venezuelan restaurant has quietly moved into Shed 2 of the Dallas Farmers Market. I’ve been to Shed 2 at least twice this month and didn’t notice the newcomer occupying the corner space. But, thanks to an email from owner of The Right Choice, I’ll be looking for it the next time I go.

Owner Luis Rotundo works with his folks to serve Venezuelan food mixed with a touch of American. His mother, Gladys, is the chef and mastermind behind the menu.

When I ask Rotundo why he chose this name, he explains, “If you look at our menu, you’d be making the right choice when selecting the meal, so it’d be the right choice for you. Nothing’s frozen, there’s no preservatives, and everything’s fresh.”

His family is mighty proud of their rotisserie chicken. It’s $15.50 for a whole chicken and three sides.

“Besides the chicken, we also have the pita burgers, and we have four types of pita burgers. Very healthy as well. It can be filled with rotisserie or chicken. Our beef is very fresh; we fill it with herbs and spices, which gives it a very different taste,” says Rotundo.
