State Farm isn’t done yet. The Bloomington, Ill.-based insurance giant has taken down another 812,000 square feet of North Texas office space, leasing the entire Lakeside Campus complex in Richardson. The buildings previously were occupied by Ericsson.

So … let’s do the math. There’s the 400,660 square feet State Farm leased in the former Citigroup space along Interstate 635 in Las Colinas for a new catastrophic operations center. The 290,000 square feet of former Bank of America space in Richardson’s Galatyn Park, and later addition of another 311,000 square feet of B-of-A space in the same four-building complex.

The biggie is the 1.5 million square feet it has leased from KDC along Plano Road in Richardson. The companies will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new development July 11. Add in the 800,000 square feet at Lakeside, and that’s 3.3 million square feet of deals. Of course, some of that space will fall off when the new KDC campus is built. Still, the sheer absorption is staggering.

State Farm could begin taking occupancy of the Lakeside Commons space as early as next month. The brokers involved in the deal are Randy Cooper and Craig Wilson with Cassidy Turley on the tenant side, and Bill Cawley, Randy Shipman, and Addie Cosgrove with Cawley Partners on the landlord side. Gary Stephenson, a spokesman for State Farm, confirmed the transaction to D Real Estate Daily.

Lakeside Campus is a two-building complex at 2201-2221 Lakeside Blvd. It includes a low-rise, four-story property and a second16-story structure.
