URBAN LORE

|

There is a story circulating around town that has a lot of north Dallas women shaking in their diamond rings. Here’s the e-mail that is making the rounds:

Ladies, don’t take your man to Modo Mio!!! Seems there’s a size 1, French-speaking, Montreal-raised, well-divorced jezebel by the name of Gizelle on a manhunt and will steal anyone’s — I mean ANYONE’s — man…

Girls, time to organize a posse. (The full e-mail follows.)

A group of us (girls, some married, some not) live relatively close by the restaurant and have enjoyed it for years. One of our group suggested to her date that they dine at Modo Mio. They are having a great time — romance is definitely in the air — when, seemingly out of nowhere — this Jezebel/Gizelle — shows up at the table under the pretense of putting a rose onto the table. ( like they just realized at 8:00 that they had forgotten to put the table decorations onto the table…)

Jezebel/Gizelle then strikes up a conversation with the lady’s date and before she knows it — Jezebel/Gizelle is sitting between the two, hands on man, crying about not having a man, ignoring the man’s date, and pouring herself and the man glasses of wine from behind the bar. Man and Jezebel/Gizelle really seem to hit it off! (did I mention he’s loaded??)

Another of our group got wind of this and decided to check it out for herself. She took her well-dressed, well-off husband of 25 years and (both not wearing their wedding rings)— here comes Jezebel/Gizelle. Same dance, different man. Of course, he was prepared and obviously didn’t fall for it.

So we are all wondering, who is Jezebel/Gizelle??? Does she work at Modo Mio? They must know her if she is pouring her own wine from behind the bar. Is she trying to get the position of official rose-placer, or is she just looking for a hot guy with lots of money? Our money is on the latter. No matter what we think, ladies, stay away from that place if you want to hang onto your guy.

Too bad for Modo Mio, though…. Our group will NEVER be back and neither will a lot of people we’ve told. It once was one of our favorite spots in North Dallas.”
