If you have to share the spotlight, there are worse people to do so with than Warren Buffett. The August 2007 issue of Smart Money featured the billionaire as part of its “World’s Greatest Investors” cover story. The four other money managers celebrated for their market forecasts included Susan M. Byrne of Dallas-based Westwood Holdings Group (NYSE: WHG). Byrne, 60, founded Westwood in 1983 and serves as the chairman and chief investment officer of the company that manages more than $6 billion for its clients. As the profile in Smart Money pointed out, “her Westwood Equity AAA fund has produced an average annual return of 13.6 percent, compared with a 10.7 percent return for the S&P 500.” Warren who?
