Rob Bowlby, who relocated to Dallas in 2016, has a 25-year history in commercial banking—all of it with North Carolina-based BB&T. He arrived in North Texas from the bank’s Miami Dade County operation, where he’d served as market president since 2009. Bowlby, a native of West Virginia, says he’s “always busy” overseeing BB&T’s 54 branches in Dallas-Fort Worth. During his off-hours he’s a runner—“5 to 7 miles at a time,” he says—and enjoys good food and wine. He also serves as a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber board of directors, the Dallas Film Society board, the Crystal Charity Ball 2018 Advisory Board, and the Lone Star Executive Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He and his wife of seven years, Sarah, have a son and a daughter.
