Tony Delia Has Best Job Ever. OK, maybe not ever, but butterfly farmer or rancher or whatever is pretty cool, right? I would raise butterflies, but I’ve had bad experiences raising very tiny animals. I once raised sea monkeys, but – true story – they all ended up having sex together (I looked it up) in the bottom of the aquarium and died after a four day orgy. So I’ll leave the butterflies alone.

U.S.S. Fort Worth Product of Arlington Native’s Mind Grapes. So besides its moniker, the U.S.S. Fort Worth, which will be commissioned in Galveston this weekend, has yet another local tie. Its architect, Jonathan Applequist, grew up in Arlington - where his parents still live.

Appraisals Possibly Keeping Home Prices Low. It’s a longish story, but apparently some homeowners have sold a house for one price, and then it’s appraised value comes in thousands lower than the agreed upon selling price. This article seems to imply that will rectify as more home sales happen.

Geography Is Fun. Listen, I do think this story was somewhat newsworthy because well, someone Gladys Kravitzed this mom and on the surface it seems pretty unfair. But this is more of a general why the face on our local Fox affiliate, who has this story on its website – marked as local and datelined Dallas – even though I’ve consulted three maps and my own brains and La Porte is definitely more near Houston and has beaches and is not near Dallas at all.

Robert Wayne Harris Executed Last Night. Almost a dozen years after confessing to a killing spree at an Irving car wash that left five of his coworkers dead, Robert Wayne Harris was executed. WFAA’s Jonathan Betz was on hand to witness the execution, but before his lethal injection, Harris had some odd last words.
