Most everyone who likes sushi/Vietnamese food has probably heard of the fabulous little restaurant called Oishii on Wycliff, just west of the Toll Road. Chef/owner Thanh Nguen has a photographic memory for people and he also has dollar sushi on Tuesday evenings and half-price bottles of wine and sake on Wednesday. I recommend the Promo Amor Sparkling. Chef Nguen and I concur that ‘champers and sushi is a very fine pairing, indeed. Even my Okie carnivore husband likes this place so much he’s willing to drive all the way down from the wilds of Preston Hollow to pick up dinner. According to the Okie, the trick is to get there before your order is ready so you can wait at the bar with a cold one.
