Personnel Moves: Coldwell Banker, Venture, Frisco EDC, Grapevine

With solid relocation and expansion activity underway, Frisco and Grapevine are both bulking up in economic development. Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW and Venture Commercial are also adding to their ranks, in this week's Personnel Moves.

With solid relocation and expansion activity underway, Frisco and Grapevine are both bulking up in economic development. Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW and Venture Commercial are also adding to their ranks, in this week’s Personnel Moves.

  • Bob Farley
    Bob Farley

    The City of Grapevine has for the first time hired an economic development director, Bob Farley, who joins the team with experience accrued at Greyhill, Hillwood, and Deloitte in various site-selection and development roles. Grapevine created the position as part of its newly honed strategic focus on attracting, retaining, and growing businesses in the community, and it selected Farley after an extensive nationwide search. In his new role, Farley will oversee the creation of a master plan for a 185-acre parcel near Grapevine Mills, as well as marketing the property to developers. He will also be tasked with raising Grapevine’s profile with strategically identified end-user markets like hospitality, entertainment, retail, and corporate and medical offices while guiding greenfield and infill development to meet Grapevine’s objectives. He will also play a role in the development of a future TEX Rail station near Grapevine’s historic downtown district.

    Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW has added 30-year commercial real estate industry veteran Wayne Burgdorf, who joins the team as vice president from Burgdorf Realty Group LP. Burgdorf will incorporate his firm into CBC Alliance’s operations and bring a portfolio of 30 sales listings for more than 400 acres and several lease listings for industrial and office space.

    Dave Quinn has been named vice president of the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, a role that will include his supervision of the FEDC office’s professional staff while also helping to enhance business attraction and retention for the city and marketing to a global audience. He will assume the role on October 1, and joins the FEDC from the Bastrop Economic Development Corp., where he served as executive director since August 2011. Prior to that role, he was the executive director of the Levelland Economic Development Corp.

    Trammell Hancock

    Cheryl and Trammell Hancock have joined Venture Commercial Real Estate as associate and assistant vice president, respectively. Trammell will represent both landlords and tenants and focus on urban listings, and is currently working with several fashion and entertainment shops from New York, Los Angeles, Spain, and France who are interested in bringing tenants to DFW. Cheryl will focus on tenant representation and work to bring high-end creative clients from the fashion, entertainment, and restaurant industries to the area from Los Angeles and New York.
