Lil Flip
November 10, 9 p.m.| Trees
Houston’s rap scene was put on the map thanks to artists like Lil’ Flip, who came up through Houston’s underground rap scene in the 90s before inking a recording contract in 1999. With hits like “The Way We Ball” and “Sunshine,” he grabbed the attention of established acts, appearing on Three Six Mafia’s “Ridin’ Spinners” and Ludacris’ “Screwed Up.” He’s released several albums and EPs since his last studio album, 2007’s I Need Mine, so expect plenty from that massive catalog.
