Emerge Clinical Solutions Wins HeartPlace as Client

|

Dallas-based Emerge Clinical Solutions has had its electronic medical records software system adopted by HeartPlace, adding its program to 31 North Texas clinics.

HeartPlace is the largest cardiology group in the country to use electronic medicals records. Ken Johnson, HeartPlace chief strategy officer, said in a statement that Emerge’s program was a good fit because it worked well with the EHR system the hospitals previously used.

Emerge says its software runs patient data through an agnostic algorithm that analyzes patients who are can be more difficult to diagnose, including women and certain minorities. When running a patient’s medical history through its algorithm, the software makes more than 8,000 calculations to help doctors make a diagnosis.

Scott Finfer, Emerge CEO, said in a statement that electronic medical records help doctors to do their job better.

“Electronic medical records are no longer a dream for the future,” he said. “They’re a reality that patients are beginning to demand, and clinical decision support is a natural partnership with these systems. Emerge helps doctors make a clearer, more refined diagnosis and puts decades of medical knowledge at their fingertips.”
