Stanley Black & Decker is putting a massive, 1.2 million-square-foot distribution center in–you guessed it–AllianceTexas.

Black & Decker’s new facility will bring 300 jobs to the region and take up the entirety of Northport 3, which Hillwood developed on spec. The Northport buildings make up the newest sector of Alliance and encompass more than 3 million square feet of industrial space.

“As we aim to meet the growing demands of our customers in the central and southern regions of the U.S., Northlake is the ideal location to support our current operational needs while also providing future growth opportunities,” said Greg Smulski, vice president of real estate for Stanley Black & Decker, in a statement.

Thanks to abundant labor prospects and its proximity to major transportation and distribution hubs, Alliance has become akin to the Uptown of industrial real estate.

Northport tenants have access to workforce recruitment, training, and retention resources, courtesy of the Alliance Opportunity Center and Tarrant County College’s Corporate Training Center and Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation, and Logistics.

Northlake Mayor Peter Dewing said it’s the city’s responsibility to provide a business-friendly environment. “Stanley Black & Decker will bring additional jobs to our local community and have a lasting positive impact in the region,” he said. “I am delighted to welcome them to Northlake.”
