Voters must wear masks to vote. Dallas County adds 624 cases.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 624 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with three deaths. The deaths included individuals in their 60s and 80s.


Dallas ISD announced plans to begin student athlete rapid COVID-19 testing next week. Tests will be administered to student athletes once a week with results produced in about 15 minutes, The Dallas Morning News reported.


Tarrant County has seen over 65,000 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. There were five confirmed deaths on Wednesday, including individuals in their 50s, 60s, and 70s. All had underlying high-risk health conditions, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.


Texas voters must wear masks at voting locations after a ruling from a federal district judge on Tuesday. The recent change goes against Governor Greg Abbott’s previous exemption of polling places from the statewide mask mandate, KERA News reported.
