I realize it’s a bit of a cliche, but I truly believe that the best moments with littles are the simple, low-key ones. To that end, we’ve been surviving the hot summer weekends of late by cranking up the tunes, busting out a few “no-brainer” crafts and partaking in some (really) good food.
This weekend’s highlights included wiling away a couple of hours making little sculptures out of toothpicks and mini marshmallows (inspired by this fantastic post) while listening to the stylings of The Orbans (a family crowd-pleaser). In addition, we indulged in a crazy-good (extra-long) brunch at Oddfellows in Bishop Arts (hands-down our favorite breakfast spot in town), where the four of us managed to put away a plate of beignets, a stack of waffles, eggs benedict, homefries, a breakfast taco, a side of bacon and a bowl of cheese grits!
It was quite a scene…
