Legacy West has already won huge corporate campuses for Toyota North America, Liberty Mutual, and FedExOffice. Now, it’s getting some multitenant space, too.
Dallas-based Gaedeke Group has kicked off construction on a new Class AA development at the southeast corner of Legacy Drive and State Highway 121.
The 14-story office tower will offer 307,767 square feet office space, with 25,679-square-foot floor plates and minimal interior columns. It also will feature floor-to-ceiling glass for unobstructed views, and will be surrounded on three sides by a reflecting pool. The project will pursue LEED Gold certification.
“We’ve put a lot of effort into designing this building for the demands of the 21st century, and we wanted to be very mindful of and complementary to our surroundings here in Plano,” said Gaedeke Group CEO Sabine Stener.
Amenities will include a six-story structured parking garage, an outdoor terrace, tenant lounge, fitness and conference centers, electric vehicle charging stations, secure bike storage, and a shuttle to the nearby Shops at Legacy.
One Legacy West will be Gaedeke Group’s 15th building nationally and its eighth property in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Other local assets include Millennium Tower, Oak Lawn Plaza, and One McKinney Plaza.
“The exceptional service and quality that is synonymous with the Gaedeke Group is consistent with what Plano is all about,” said Harry LaRosiliere, Plano’s mayor. “I’m confident that this will be an impetus to allow us to attract additional businesses to our community, create more vibrancy, and create that energy that we know is palpable in our city right now.”
One Legacy West was designed by Mark Dilworth of Morrison Dilworth + Walls; Andres Construction is the general contractor.
The office tower is scheduled for completion in December 2016.
