Pediatrics Plus, an Arkansas-based pediatrics healthcare provider, will build the company’s first out-of-state facility in Frisco. The healthcare provider recently purchased 4.45 acres of raw land in Frisco for an undisclosed price. The land was acquired from Sports Village Realty I LLC. and is located at the corner of Sports Village Road and Frisco Street.

“We invested a great deal of time to find the right spot for Pediatrics Plus to establish its presence in the DFW market. The Frisco location offered a spacious amount of land, while still residing in an urban-centric community,” David Shaffer, managing partner at Wellington Realty, said in a statement. “With traffic continually moving north of Dallas, we saw this Frisco property as a prime location, positioned for success.”

Williams & Dean is the architect for the newly-planned project, which is expected to break ground by the end of the year. Wellington Realty’s team of David Shafer, Kirby Jackson III, Caleb Jones, and Tammy Shaffer represented the buyer. The seller was represented by Colliers International’s Susan GwinBurks.

“Frisco is one of the fastest-growing cities in [North Texas], and as the community grows, more pediatric healthcare options are necessary,” Caleb Jones, brokerage associate at Wellington Realty said in a statement.

Pediatrics Plus chose Frisco as its fifth location because it noticed a “demand for their services.” The pediatric healthcare specialist provides occupational, physical, and speech language therapy, as well as a developmental preschool program and an early intervention program.
