Four months after parting ways with Cushman & Wakefield, Doug Jones has been named managing partner at Stream Realty. The commercial real estate exec, who ran C&W’s North Texas operations, will oversee Stream’s office service business across all major markets in Texas, including tenant and landlord representation and property management.

“I am thrilled to join Stream and look forward to contributing to the company’s ongoing success,” Jones said in a statement. “Texas is a dynamic and rapidly growing market, and I am excited to work with this talented team to deliver exceptional service and results to our clients.”

Jones, a former U.S. Army Ranger and Infantry Officer who was awarded multiple Bronze Star Medals and a Purple Heart, will be responsible for Stream’s Texas office portfolio, which totals about 50 million square feet of leased and managed properties. At C&W, Jones oversaw 350 commercial real estate professionals working in brokerage, capital markets, and real estate advisory services.

In a span of three years at C&W, Jones closed more than 150 transactions totaling 2.5 million square feet. He also served as the executive director of the firm’s Military & Veteran Program. Under his leadership, C&W hired 566 veterans in 2022, an increase of 10 percent from 2021 and a 46 percent increase from 2020.

Jones was succeeded at C&W by former CBRE executive Chris Hipps, who took the reins of statewide operations earlier this month.

Dallas-based Stream, which was founded in 1996 by Mike McVean and Lee Belland, has offices in key markets across the U.S. with more than 1,350 employees and $6.9 billion in annual transactions.
