Cushman & Wakefield will begin 2024 with a new leader in Dallas. Longtime CBRE executive Chris Hipps has been hired to take the helm and will lead the firm’s advisory business throughout the state of Texas. He’ll work out of Dallas and his first official day on the job will be Jan. 2, 2024.

“As the state continues its historical growth trajectory, we have a real opportunity to expand Cushman & Wakefield’s impact across Texas,” Hipps said in a statement. “Each market across the state is unique and offers us the chance to differentiate ourselves. With the industry-leading-talent that we’ve long been known for in Texas, and with those who we will add, we’re well positioned to grow market share and redefine client engagement in the Lone Star State.”

At CBRE, Hipps was senior managing director of advisory and transaction services and investor services for the North Texas region. Part of his responsibilities involved integrating brokerage, capital markets, and asset services to better serve institutional and middle-market clients. Prior to CBRE, he spent nearly 25 years with Cadillac Fairview and its successors, Prentiss Properties and Brandywine Realty Trust.

The Dallas office is one of Cushman & Wakefield’s 400 offices. All told, the publicly traded firm (NYSE: CWK) has about 52,000 employees in 60 countries.
