Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported a three-day total of 3,872 new cases and 10 deaths on Tuesday.
There are 3,446 COVID-19 patients in North Texas hospitals in North Texas, an increase from yesterday of 98. This represents 23.06 percent of available bed capacity and 47.21 percent of adult ICU patients, reports Steve Love, CEO of the DFW Hospital Council.

The Texas House approved Senate Bill 15, a bill that will expand and fund virtual learning but excludes students who failed their STAAR exams, predominantly children of color who were left to deal with the shock of last year’s learning system without sufficient resources. This bill will be leaving out many children of color, who have suffered the most substantial learning loss last year. The bill’s exclusions will be leaving children of color without a choice of safe virtual learning and increased risk given delta variant concerns, Texas Tribune reports.
