Four Medical City Healthcare hospitals received the Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades, which is given to the top 5 percent of all short-term acute care hospitals reporting patient safety data. The hospitals are Medical City Children’s Hospital, Medical City Dallas, Medical City Fort Worth, and Medical City McKinney.
Fort Worth pediatrician Dr. Gary Floyd is president-elect of the Texas Medical Association. Floyd will serve in this role for one year before assuming the presidency of America’s largest state medical society in 2022. During his 42-year career, he has been involved with various aspects of TMA, including chairing TMA’s Board of Trustees last year.
The Texas Medical Association has reelected Dallas cardiologist Dr. Richard Snyder to serve on the Board of Trustees. He has been in practice for 28 years, he has been on the TMA Council on Legislation, and he served as Dallas County Medical Society president in 2012.
DFW healthcare real estate development and capital investment company New Era Companies will be opening two healthcare facilities in Louisiana and Indiana and is closing the development of an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Overland Park, KS. The Louisiana facility is a behavioral health hospital and office building, and the Indiana property will be a rehabilitation hospital.
